O’s Notes: Ben Street (b), Jochen Ruckert (d) and Jerome Sabagh (sax) join guitarist Monteiro to form the core quartet for this session. They play with a mild reggae beat on “Retrato De Um Forro”, a cool relaxing tune with vocal scatting from Lila Downs. “Caraíva” and “Air” feature Guilherme and Jerome sharing the melody in unison and cat and mouse. This is a soothing set highlighted by the Latin flavored tunes.
