O’s Notes: Colonel Dan Schofield is the Commander and Conductor of The Air Force Band’s Airmen of Note performing with guest artists/composers Gordon Goodwin (sax), Rodney Whitaker (b), and Jon Faddis (t) in a live session. The guest artists are featured on three selections each. The servicemen are also exemplary musicians performing in a well-orchestrated program. Our favorites are: “Second Chances” featuring MSgt Logan Keese (flugelhorn), “A Mother’s Cry” featuring MSgt Kristian Baarsvik (s-sax), SMSgt Geoff Reccer (g), SMSgt Grant Langford (t-sax), & MUC Kevin McDonald (d), and “Things To Come” featuring MSgt Kevin Cerovich (tb) and MSgt Todd Baker (t-sax).
