O’s Notes: Clint Holmes takes the mic on “Let The Good Times Roll” to open the session and it’s a great sign of what’s to come. Naomi Mauro breathes new life into “Too Close For Comfort” and Laura Taylor sings “Alright, Okay, You Win” with a trombone solo by Gio Lacaia. There’s a jovial take of “Emily” with rich layered brass punctuated by Curt Miller (tb), and a rousing drum solo from Mateo Hurtado De Mendoza on “The Collective”. This band is polished, precise and energetic.
