O’s Notes: Chilean bassist and composer José Pérez Vargas now resides in Buenos Aires where he released Alienación. There are two versions, one electric and one acoustic. The music is Latin fusion with more funky undertones on the electric versions of the songs. They are well-developed compositions ranging from 6 to 11 minutes each. We liked “Hide and Seek”, the heavily syncopated “Pezuna”, and title track.
