O’s Notes: Alone Together is a duet between vibraphonist Tony Miceli and Violinist Diane Monroe. The combination works extremely well over thirteen well-chosen titles that include two originals: Tony’s “Vince Guaraldi” and Diane’s “Fleetin’ Blues”. The music is soothing and features the contrasting tones of each instrument captured well by producer Laura Hartmann. We also enjoyed “Spain”, “East of the Sun”, “Here’s That Rainy Day”, “Eronel” and the title track in a fine set.
