O’s Notes: The beats start heavy on “Arrepiar” followed by the Latin dance groove of “Xaxodo” featuring the rapid-fire vocals of Azevedo. They continue with heavy percussion fused with popular dance beats. She sings a lot about Amanaiara (rain – in Brazilian Portuguese), which is plentiful and powerful in Northeastern State where she is from. Her style has the relaxed elements of bossa nova combined with modern electronic club beats. Her partner in music and life is guitarist Zé Eugnio. Together they wrote all of the features tunes. They moved to Berlin and have fused their music into a unique contemporary world groove. It’s infectious, especially the reggae feel of “Fao Amor” (I make love) and the cool finale, “Labirintos De Rendeira”.
