O’s Notes: Italian bassist and guitarist Lorenzo Feliciati was inspired by the music of Led Zeppelin and Jaco Pastorius. He partners with percussionist, drummer Michele Rabbia to dance on the edge of electronic free jazz and progressive rock. They engage with Cuong Vu (t), Andy Sheppard (sax), Rita Marcotulli (p), Alessandro Gwis (p, electronics) and Roy Powell (B3, Moog, keys) in various configurations over 8 tracks on Antikythera. Among the best songs are “223 Teeth”, “Prochronistic”, “Sidereal” and the mysterious “Parapegma”.
