O’s Notes: The ARC Trio is bassist/co-producer Jimmy Haslip, keyboardist/co-producer Scott Kinsey and drummer Gergö Borlai. They play jazz-fusion enhanced by guest appearances from Vinnie Colaiuta (d), Gary Novak (d), Steve Tavaglione (sax, fl, EWI) and Judd Miller (EVI). The music has a spacey feel (as suggested by the eclipse on the CD cover) with lots of pop and sizzle owed to Haslip who livens things whenever he plays! “Cedars” and “Conchita” are among the best tracks.
