O’s Notes: If you enjoy good club music, Chicago R&B style, with emphasis on the blues, this is a great CD for you. Guitarist George Freeman brings it all together along with vocalists Kurt Elling on “Sugar” and Rene Marie on “Surrey With The Fringe on Top”. There is also nice work on trumpet from Maurice Brown and cool soul from organist Lloyd Wilson throughout. Can I have some more please?
