O’s Notes: This is the first volume of At The Piano, a two-part series of select, original, solo piano recordings by Tobin Mueller, his 41st release. He marries classical and pop with lots of jazz improvisation. His music is always energetic, and this is no exception as he takes us through eleven selections in just under one hour. He gets spiritual on “One Body of Man”, a piano duet. We also enjoyed “Two Pease In a Chili Pod” and “Time As Emergent Phenomenon“.
