O’s Notes: Guitarist Will Sellenraad leads a quartet featuring Abraham Burton (sax), Kiyoshi Kitagawa (b) and drummer Victor Lewis. They are a polished band with over five years of experience playing together. Will wrote these songs to highlight each if their strengths and it works! Seven of the tunes were compose by Sellenraad with one each from Lewis and Kitagawa. This is relaxed jazz-fusion with a cool groove. “Stubbs” and “Nye” are a couple of the best of the rest. Burton swings on “Blewis” and then soothes us on “Prayer” showing his prowess on sax.
