O’s Notes: Pianist Rex Bell plays a Fazioli 308 in a rhythm section with bassist Joe Vick and drummer Dave Rogers. The Infrared Academic Festival Orchestra conducted by Sir Eric Chesher joins them on several selections in a ten-song set of ballads. They are mostly classics like ‘”Black Narcissus”, “It’s Easy To Say” and “Never Let You Go” with a couple of Bell’s originals notably “Blue Orpheus”. Strong arrangements of great material make this a perfect set for Sunday afternoon or any other time you want to relax!
