O’s Notes: Singer and writer Ann Phillips invited some of her musical friends to do this album with her – mostly duets. The very good news is that she received acceptances from some of the best in the business including Roger Kellaway (p), Dave Brubeck (p), Marion McPartland (p) and Joe Locke (vibes). It is a novel concept that kept us anticipating each track. Among are favorites are her vocal duet with Matt Perri on “I Was Doing All Right”, “Late Late Show” with John Hart (g), and “Doubletalk” with Larry Goldings (organ). These are just a few of fifteen classic and original ballads.
