150 Music, 2008, CD
Instrument: Female Vocals
Jazz Ruler Type: Ballads, Blues
O’s Notes: Stevie is not afraid to put her voice in front of the music and with good reason. She marries her vocal phasing with the dramatic beats of the music on “Carioca” with confidence and passion. It is a prime example of her living the covers as if they were her own tunes. We truly enjoyed her harmonizing with the sax of Ole Mathisen on “Lazy Afternoon”. Other highlights include “The Music In Me That Plays” and “Daybreak” both featuring guitarist Paul Bollenback.
