O’s Notes: If you dig Big Band jazz, this is one for you. Dean (t) and Michael (d) Pratt bring it home swinging at a wide range of tempos complete with solos across the large ensemble. We are introduced to the lone female on stage, Roberta Gamarini on the 2nd cut, “Skylark”. She does more than carry a tune, she has the tools to bring the house down, especially with the power of the band behind her. The band is tight and the brass interplay on “Old World New Imports” is exceptional. We felt many special moments listening to this session, too many to mention. Oh by the way the Pratt brothers add some really intense solos along the way too!
