O’s Notes: Sarah fell in love with jazz as a child. Both parents were fans and the complexity and improvisation, particularly with vocals intrigued her. So she’s realizing a dream as a jazz ballad singer today: Blame It On My (her) Youth! These are14 timeless standards each arranged for Sarah’s voice. She has a wide range that allows her to explode on certain passages with passion that rings loudly. She also likes to scat and you can hear her enthusiasm even on blues like “Everyday I Have The Blues”. While that may seem contradictory it’s not, Ms. Partridge is just happy to be singing. And we’re happy to listen.
