O’s Notes: Bassist John Clayton, drummer Jeff Hamilton and leader Pamela York (piano) make up this tight trio. They play a variety of traditional tunes with each of the musicians displaying their talent. Pamela stands out especially on “Back To The Border” where she makes a definitive statement. We have to mention the exceptional dynamic range and sound quality of this recording resulting from the natural m-phoric recording process. It was noticeable on our iPod, in our car and especially on our reference listening system.
