O’s Notes: Boris brings a unique style to the world of contemporary jazz. This set of vocal harmonization incorporates scatting and vocalese with large doses of playful improvisation. It is mostly a solo effort with lots of dubbing. Guest artist Jimmy Haslip adds bass on the title track and Paolo Fresh (t) joins in on a couple of tracks notably “Concrete Clima”. Savoldelli composed, arranged and produced all of the songs. Alessandro Ducoli wrote the lyrics. Highlights are “Dandy Dog” and the hip-hop groove on “Springstorm”.
