O’s Notes: This is pre-mass market Benson (1973) where his guitar is the focal point vs. his voice. We classified it as traditional because Benson is burning it up on electric guitar complemented by 19 year old Earl Klugh on acoustic guitar. But it could just as easily be C-R&B; a mix of upbeat dance tracks and cool relaxers. With Ron Carter (b), Jack DeJohnette (d) and Harold Mabern (p) anchoring the rhythm section, this one is hard to beat!
