O’s Notes: Grant hits a home run with this bluesy fusion collection of originals. There are some fine exchanges here as Geissman invites a wealth of fine musicians to perform with him. Tom Scott (ts), Alex Acuña (perc) and Russell Ferrante (p) are a few of the stars engaging on Bop! Bang! Boom! Brian Scanlon (ts) sticks to Grant like glue as he burns on “The Singularity”. Grant calls Dennis C. Brown (g), Chuck Lorre (g) and Michael Finnegan (B3) for help on “Take Yer Time”. Geissman goes it alone on “Guitarism”, one of too many great tunes to write about but just enough to keep you smiling!
