O’s Notes: Brazzamerica is a swinging jazz trio featuring pianist Cidinho Teixeira, bassist Leco Reid and Edson Fezzeira on drums. This Brazilian group captures energy from their predecessors and transforms it into their own groove with contemporary flair. They perform just over an hour’s worth of solid entertainment with embraceable melodies and rhythms that include tight solos. We really enjoyed “Lim Slim” (Maracatu-Blues) and “Cev Mar” in a session with lots to love and little to skip!
