O’s Notes: Bassist Stephen Parisi was born in Buffalo but now makes his home in Chicago where he released his debut recording Buddy! Josh Achiron (g), Nicholas Olynciw (p), Kabir Dalawari (d), and Jordan Lerner (sax) join him. We enjoyed the title track, the relaxing “Tro”, the upbeat “Lascialo”, the warmth of “The Judge”, and the sax/drum exchange on “The Kid”. This is a fine start for Parisi, and we look to hear more.
