O’s Notes: Butcher Block Ballet is pianist Jeremy Manasia’s sixth release as a leader, with drummer Charles Ruggiero and Ugonna Okegwo on bass. The foundation is solid as Jeremy tickles the ivory on top. “Tony’s Tune” with a fine solo by Okegwo, “House Rules”, “Curitiba Girl” and “Take The In-Step” are appreciable in a fine session.
