O’s Notes: Copenhagen based, veteran Jazz trumpeter Dwayne Clemons releases Center of Gravity, the 10th release of Smalls Live, Living Masters Series. Clemons has a long-time relationship with Smalls in New York with many great performances. He plays with Amanda Sedgwick (a-sax), Aaron Johnson (t-sax), Jinjoo Yoo (p), Paul Gill (b), and Taro Okamoto (d). The sax, sax, trumpet combination works well as they swing through freshly arranged classics like “Honeysuckle Rose”, “I Cover The Waterfront”, and “Burgundy”. This is a vibrant sextet.
