O’s Notes: Bassist McCree leads a jazzy sextet with Bill Lowe (tb), Pete Moutis (d), Joel LaRie Smith (p), Salim Washington (sax) and baritone vocalist Ron Murphy. They are all first class musicians and strut their stuff on the opener “Nature Boy” for nearly 15 minutes. They have performed together for years at Boston’s Top of the Hub even as none of them live there anymore. There are eight songs, mostly originals composed by band members. The pleasure we experienced listening to Changes In the Wind make us covet the live sessions!
