O’s Notes: Waldemar is a singer and guitarist from Angola with stops in Portugal, Brazil and Germany before recording Classics of My Soul in LA and London. He sings with an incredible amount of passion coming from deep inside. These eleven songs have personal meaning and Bastos’ conviction emerges throughout the performance. “Velha Xica” is a highlight enriched with support from the London Symphony Orchestra. With this session we get a peak inside the man, his music and his country.
