O’s Notes: Jon Close (keyboards) and Brian Koser (sax) lead this contemporary jazz quartet through a varied set. They open with a swinging fusion tune, “Endurance” before alternating between upbeat tracks and soft ballads. There is some nice piano work from Jon, alone and blending with Brian who’s sound is soulfully sweet, most notably on “C-Thing”.
