O’s Notes: Trombonist Mike Fahn leads the charge on these eight diverse tracks. The music strikes many chords ranging from subtle to daring and racy moods. The title suggests dreamy ballads but an equally appropriate billing would be “Take Note!” because the music is somewhat medicinal and worthy of your full attention. Our favorite is the finalé, title track which nicely sums up the session.
