O’s Notes: The sounds are exotic on “Movement Inspiration” with Claudio and Daniele Cavalca interweaving percussive instrumentation. Simone Scolari’s work on trumpet fits right in providing intriguing melodic lead lines and thoughtful improvisation as well. These are the mysterious sounds we experience throughout Colors of Red Island, a powerful work that is engaging and enjoyable. Our favorites were “Improvised Sentimental Song” and “Infinite Silence” featuring Claudio on flute in this sea of relaxing sound.
