O’s Notes: These are pure, smooth, warm and seductive ballads written mostly by the members of the quartet. And this is a notable cast with Joey Calderazzo (p), Eric Revis (b), Jeff “Tain” Watts (d) and producer Branford Marsalis (sax). We particularly liked “Dinner For One Please, James” with the throaty tenor sax leading the way. The DVD provides an up close view of the band as they solo and the exchange of emotions between them. Plug this one in and relax on a romantic evening.
