O’s Notes: Sax player Williams comes out cooking and keeps things hot through most of the session. On “Leprechaun’s Dance” he squeaks, squawks and extracts all possible sounds from his sax. “Freedom Suite” is perhaps the best cut of the set starting out funky before moving into free jazz and back to the funk. We also liked his cover of “Caravan”. Bassist Gary Wang and Rudy Walker (d) round out the trio.
