O’s Notes: Japanese saxophonist Yuto Mitomi resides in New York where he is an “under the radar” talent. Continuation was released in 2019, and it is still fresh! Mitomi leads a quartet with Takahiro Izumikawa (keyboards), Moto Fukushima (b), and Kazuhiro Odairi (d). We enjoyed “Joe’s Twigs”, the mysterious “ID”, “The Song Told You”, the funky “Dual”, the passionate “Pure Imagination”, “In Your Own Sweet Way”, and “Schist City” featuring Fukushima.
