O’s Notes: Dave Anderson (p) and Mike Wingo (d, perc) perform as a duo playing a wide range of standards and a few originals. This is a unique pairing with an open sound stage. Anderson and Wingo play together as if they were engaged in spirited discussion making the title most appropriate. Among the best of the dozen selections are “Gentle Rain”, “Autumn Leaves” and “La Fiesta” in what turns out to be a mellow, relaxed set that should have broad appeal.
