O’s Notes: This quintet led by Augustine plays very entertaining, upbeat music. The varied session includes cool spunky tunes like the title track, some soft blues (“Night Train”) and nicely arranged covers like “Fever” and “Nature Boy”. Joe’s piano is pronounced and dynamic. It’s balanced with a solid punch from Steve Novosel (b) and Chester Thompson (d). A winner!
