O’s Notes: Saxophonist, composer Josh Sinton goes solo in a tribute to Steve Lacy, one of his most storied heroes. There are two discs, the first, Couloir, consisting of airy, spontaneous, free jazz, the type of music that you hear at the train station, one musician, expressing his thoughts as they emerge in his mind. Disc 2 is Book of Practioners Vol. 2 Book W, six, more melodic tunes beginning with the letter “W”. Collectively, Sinton serves up 21, free form sax selections!
