O’s Notes: Chris has a beautiful voice whether singing straight or blue tones. She’s at home with both popular and jazzy tunes. She has a strong band supporting her as well including Paul Bollenback (g), Ugonna Okegwo (b), Billy Hart (d) and saxophonist Gary Bartz. Among the strong selections are Chris’s own “New Day”, a nice arrangement of “All of You”, “Meaning of the Blues with a nice solo from Bollenback and the mild bossa nova beats of the title track. Good variation and very good performance.
