O’s Notes: The title is a good description of the music on this session. While the songs are all classics sung by Sinatra, Tierney’s vocal treatment adds grace and splendor. Her inspiration comes from the romantic messages within the songs rather than from the icon himself. Chistian Jacob’s work on piano and leading the orchestra, with strings, strongly reinforce the mood. Sutton seems to get better each recording. These are exquisite ballads.
