O’s Notes: German saxophonist, composer Tobias Meinhart recorded his latest release live at the A-Trane in Berlin. We enjoyed the racy opener “Luna Park” at full throttle, and they never let up! “Dreamers” features guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel who weighs in on many selections. We also enjoyed “Dreamers” and the mysterious “Sonic River”. They swing hard on the finale, “Berlin People” with Tobias and Rosenwinkel sharing the melody. Berlin People – Dark Horse is a strong effort.
