O’s Notes: Vocalist/pianist Mala Waldron composed, produced and arranged all of the music except a cover of Joni Mitchell’s “Jericho”. Deep Resonance is an abbreviated set at just under 28 minutes with a total of six songs. The music is open with lots of air around the instruments. There are duets and trio configurations that support Walton’s beautiful vocal tones. Our favorite is “Feelin’ For You” in a collection of heartfelt warmth.
