O’s Notes: Bernie Bierman is a songwriter and he is still active as he approaches 100 years old this year. He gathered many artists to perform songs that had been lying around his home (Discoveries). All of them were previously unreleased and they span a wide array of musical genres. Michele Pirret, Marieanne Meingolo, Joe Bachana and Steve Ross are the singers. We liked the blues groove on “City Limits”, the cabaret style of “How Much” and “The Friar’s Club on Thursday’s at Nine”. Bierman is a true talent.
