O’s Notes: Jamaican guitarist Eugene Grey plays with a festive world groove that is infused with reggae beats and lots of passion. Diversity is a set of two discs. The first is mostly upbeat instrumentals and the second composed of more traditional vocals. While we appreciated both sides of the coin, we preferred the energy of the instrumentals – feeling the message through the music! Grey’s prowess on guitar surfaces continuously throughout the set. He is a powerhouse performer and he also wrote and arranged most if the music on the album.
