O’s Notes: The music swings and even includes some funky blues on tunes like “Been Caught Stealing”. Lea is a sassy jazz singer who can place the right vocal track on a number of different settings. The bouncy “Longview” contrasts with the vamp feel of “Kieko And The Lavender Moon” and warm ballads like “Black Hole Sun”. The supporting ‘1st-call’ musicians include Stephon Harris (marimba), Christian McBride (b), Gil Goldstein (p & accordion) and Bill Stewart (d). Double Standards is a cool set.
