O’s Notes: Helen puts together a dozen covers from the American songbook. She has a feathery soft, warm voice and is spot on in tone. Producer Till Brönner is the major supporter here in an album that shines on the surface but lacks depth heartfelt emotion. We were wishing for more extended and solos from a band that had lots of talent. Schneider comes off as a bit academic while possessing lots of tools. We liked the opening title track, the bossa nova beat of “Sway” and the swinging groove of “Love For Sale”.
