O’s Notes: Venerable guitarist Lee Ritenour is now 68 years old with decades of recordings and performances behind him. He has nothing to prove having starred on countless jazz fusion contemporary albums that risen to the top 10. Dreamcatcher is his first solo album, perhaps a result of pandemic reflections. He took the opportunity to reminisce with new tunes and old memories on a wide variety of guitars. He’s deliberate and precise with impactful melodies over a dozen selections. Excellent liner notes for each selection enhance the listening experience.
