O’s Notes: This is a collection of piano and drum duets by two masterful musicians. They inspire each other with what seems like endless sparring. There is some call and response with Chico tapping out the notes Hill plays and adding punctuation plus a little more. What makes the pairing even more interesting is Hamilton’s ability to keep up when Andrew wanders off of the beaten path into his own world. There is lots of emotion conveyed during these conversations. It is masterfully done.
