O’s Notes: Sheila and Rick have developed a rhythm between them that is seamless owed to many years of performing together. They combine originals and rearranged standards for Driven, a live performance recorded at Oakland University in Michigan. One of our favorites songs is “What A Little Moonlight Can Do” with Sheila scatting and trading with drummer Dennis Sheridan. John Lindberg (b), Larry Nozera(flute) and Steve Adams (percussion) also make appearances on the session. The mood is upbeat and the musician’s enjoyment spreads through to the audience.
