The Messengers are also here but Blakey is a drummer and he takes the opportunity to showcase percussion on this recording. But they don’t forget how to cook! The CD is broken into three pieces; the first 3 tracks are percussion and the rest feature the Jazz Messengers groove that we are familiar with.
