O’s Notes: Sax player and bandleader Oxman has created a good session with Dues In Progress. He combines many standards with a few originals. But Keith’s covers have his signature because he has changed the phrasing to fit his moods. Listeners will appreciate that fresh approach. The supporting musicians are Chip Stephens (p), Todd Reid (d), Ken Walker (b), Al Hood (t) and Curtis Fuller (tb). Collectively they make good music.
