O’s Notes: Eddie Daniels is a well-established master on sax and clarinet. Roger Kellaway needs little introduction as a pianist, a writer and arranger. If you’ve ever seen either of them live, you undoubtedly felt their vibe and left satisfied. Together they are twice as nice on this live set in Santa Fe, October 2012. James Holland adds some depth and bottom on cello. They are celebrating Duke Ellington’s classics. To top it off they each contribute and original piece. Reading the notes, looking at the photos and listening to the music, all I can say is, “I wish I were there then!”
