O’s Notes: Colette Michaan plays a sweet, melodic, jazzy flute leading a quintet with Leo Genovese (keyboards), John Benitez (b), Luisito Quintero (timbales), and Yusnier Sanchez Bustamante (congas, cajon). Highlights are the mid-tempo “El Raton”, “Reincarnation of a Lovebird”, and “Ni Contigo Ni Sin Ti” with a fine bass solo by Benitez. Mireya Ramos adds vocals on two selections notably “Campiña”.
